Tanzania has dissolved the National Road Safety Council and regional road safety committees because they failed to decrease the recurrent deadly injuries in the country. The decision has been taken in the aftermaths of a recent road accident that killed twenty people. The regional road safety committees are said not to be well informed of the street traffic law and its regulations. New bodies will be formed, with more knowledge and development. The police has also taken disciplinary action against regional visitors officers of ten areas which recorded the maximum number of road accidents recently. The unqualified drivers and people who drive dangerously are urged to obey the traffic laws and push safely on the street.
